1. Commencement
This agreement will begin on the day the candidate's request to become a tutor on English Ninjas is approved and will continue until the termination of employment by mutual agreement of both parties or as set out in clause 6.

3. Job Description
Online English Tutor
Duties: The tutor offers educational services via interactive audio and video sessions to assist learners of the English language in their grammar, pronunciation and conversational skills. The tutor is obliged to remain online on the English Ninjas platform during the hours assigned as her/his weekly schedule. The tutor is obliged to follow certain protocol and curriculum set by English Ninjas. The tutor is obliged to offer services in line with company standards. The tutor is obliged to ensure that s/he has reliable high speed internet connection and all other technical requirements needed to provide uninterrupted, high quality services to students. Failure to do so might result in termination. The tutor is responsible for everything s/he expresses, all her/his actions and behaviour during sessions. English Ninjas reserves the right to take legal action and demand to be compensated for damages that might result from the utterances, expressions, actions and behaviour of the tutor.
4. Payment
Frequency: The tutor is paid once a month during the first 5 business days.
Calculation: The tutor is paid on a per minute basis. The more you teach, the more you make.
Deductions: Certain deductions are applicable for not being online during a scheduled shift and for misuse of time while online on English Ninjas platform.
Income Taxes: The tutor is accountable for all income taxes as per the rules and regulations of her/his country of residence or origin where applicable.
5. Confidentiality and Non-disclosure
English Ninjas curriculum, lesson material, methodology, recruitment methods, pay rates and structure, system and interface details as well as all other relevant data/information about users, tutors, staff, business practices and the company itself are strictly confidential. The tutor is expected not to share any details regarding such matters and all other business practices with third parties. English Ninjas reserves the right to take legal action and request to be compensated for damages if the tutor fails to abide by English Ninjas confidentiality and non-disclosure rules. The tutor also agrees not to give out any contact information that might enable users to get in touch with her/him on any platform other than English Ninjas.
6. Suspension and Termination of Employment
English Ninjas reserves the right to terminate a tutor’s employment contract should the tutor fail to fulfil her/his duties and offer services that are in line with company standards. Failure to meet the technical requirements might result in suspension or termination until the issues in question are resolved.
Misconduct, misbehaviour and failure to abide by confidentiality and non-disclosure rules will result in immediate termination. English Ninjas reserves the right to take legal action and request to be compensated for damages caused by the tutor in such cases.
The tutor reserves the right to terminate this agreement within four weeks’ notice.
Confidentiality and non-disclosure rules will continue to apply indefinitely upon and after suspension and/or termination. Should a tutor who no longer works for English Ninjas share company information with third parties, regardless of the way her/his contract ended, English Ninjas reserves the right to take legal action and demand to be compensated for any damages caused due to a violation of the confidentiality and non-disclosure rules post-employment.
